KEY SKILLS

- Hootsuite and Google Analytics for social media planning.
- DaVinci Resolve video editing software.
- Canva Pro and Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.
- Microsoft Office Suite.

- Experience running several Discord servers.
- Coding knowledge regarding Python and MAX MSP.
- Comfortable working Remote, Hybrid and On-Site within commuting distance.

HOW I WORK

My primary goal is to post consistently without overwhelming an audience. Reach is the most important metric to focus on, as without that there will be no growing audience or maintaining of existing audience. I use Hootsuite to plan six weeks in advance for scheduling content, as this then gives me time to create and find new content. I can still edit and be flexible with posts closer to the time if needed but the main day-to-day posting is sorted. I use excel to monitor and organise scheduled posts and report back on the metrics to ensure that I am making educated and informed choices moving forward. Sometimes, the metrics make no sense and you just have to go with your gut though!

Midas Consoles

To the right, you will see the Instagram of @midasconsoles, which I have managed since May 2023. I have implemented regular posting, consistent colour schemes and overall coherence for the brand.

The main content posted consists of updates for consoles, which involves disseminating complex information to an audience and user generated content (UGC). My idea for the UGC is that we are empowered by our consumers, they empower each other via interaction on the posts and they are empowered by us sharing their stories.

I am also solely responsible for the LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube and LinkTree management.

I handle all requests that come in via inboxes on apps and in Meta Suite, referring customers to the correct location for issues and generally connecting with them about their experience with products.

Turbosound

Since the start of November 2023, I have begun to manage the Turbosound SoMe suite. This brand has a wide audience but has received lots of backlash due to lack of support for products and poor relations with customers.

I have initiated a soft relaunch of the brand which coincides with their return to trade shows at the start of 2024, I have tackled their backlog in the inboxes and redirected everyone to the correct locations for support and personally followed up with every customer to ensure satisfaction.

The old branding for Turbosound felt very corporate and bland for a company specialising in loudspeakers, I spoke with the company's leader and focused on the outlaw archetypeand more rebellious branding for them.

You can find Turbosound at @turbosound on Facebook, LinkedIn and X and @turbosoundofficial on Instagram.

Viral Posts

Several Posts I have made have reached almost 100k views. The most notable are The US Office meme and another meme about the sound of faders, both found on Midas' Instagram. Comedic value should never be underestimated for reach!

The post on the left reached 230k views and shows a more unique and distinctive way of consumers using Midas products and was praised by users.

Prior to joining the Midas account, reels on Instagram were reached less than 10k, now most have views around the 50k mark with more posts reaching higher views.

Developing Ideas:

Thinking outside of the box is crucial to developing a winning strategy. My Halloween post for 2023 was developed around this initial drawing I made in Photoshop:

The Numbers

The primary metric I focus on overall is reach, this enables me to know how well our content is performing to both our existing audience and how well we are attracting a new audience.

Every month I go through the metrics in detail and add them to an excel sheet to ensure they're going in the right direction and look at which posts or comments have contributed to positive or negative responses.

I joined the Midas social team in May. The month before the reach was 121k, in May it jumped to 650k due to regular posting and then June was 1M. This increased to 2M in August, as this was festival season and a boost for Midas sales and interest. However, after festival season, November still held 1.5M reach, indicating our content is still relevant to old and new consumers alike. I am happy to provide more in-depth numbers and breakdowns upon request.

Personal Content Creation

In my spare time, I run a minecraft realm for several people and run the discord server. On the left, is the Version 5 announcement trailer which kicked off the opening. In the discord I post regular updates, with several channels for posting miscellaneous items, such as pet pictures and streaming times for those who record their sessions.

Event Planning

My current role requires event planning for trade shows and live events, which involves budgeting, contacting airlines and hotels and time scheduling for every member attending.

Outside of work, I plan events for friends and family which started with my own wedding planning and now has me planning several events and creating content for them. I do this in my spare time and don't charge for this as I simply love doing it!
